Meet, Greet, and Plot.

So how many characters will this be after Kayaba's announcement?
«Meet and Greet»

Applications and reserves are closed. The first floor information post is now up. Along with the game officially starting on Saturday. That means it's time to Meet and Greet! Doubles as a chance to plot for CR and shenanigans while we're at it too.

«Your Name» What you would like to be called by.
«Contact» Your preferred method of OOC contact.

«Character(s)» Include their usernames and what canon they are from.
«Personality/AU Information» Just a quick and short rundown to give other players a general idea.
«Plans for character(s)» Are they going to leave the Starting City? Stick it out in the city for a week? Or just remain in denial and hang around hoping help will come? Try and level for the first floor boss fight? A short and quick run down is fine.
«CR you would like» Basically, is there any kind of CR you would like to see for your character(s)? Positive CR or Negative CR? Things like that.

«Personality/AU Information» Izaya is interested in all humanity and loves it unconditionally. Also, he's an awful person. Basically, Izaya was a kid who went to the back of movie theatres so he could watch everyone else watching the show. He took his interest in watching humans too far and became a crazy trolling jerkass who ruined lives for fun because he "just wants to see."

Overall, he's very mercurial. He can be very friendly and personable when he wants to be, and he's really gregarious and sociable. But he also likes screwing with people's heads and spouting off insane troll logic philosophy that is full of holes and yet impossible to argue, so he's not the easiest to get along with.

AU-wise, he is pretty canon except bumped up a few years and without headless fairies and cursed swords.
«Plans for character(s)» Basically, Izaya is going to keep on keeping on: he wants to observe humanity and gather information (which is also how he intends on making a living).

And he'll avoid doing anything that would get him locked out of cities, because no, he loves cities. That's where the humans are.
«CR you would like» All of it. Izaya likes to get people working for him gathering information, and he likes to get marks that he can put through horrible situations that test them to see what kind of person they are or how strong their resolves are, so if you are interested in that, don't hesitate to drop a line! If someone manages to get almost companionable CR with him, that person would be a miracle, and I would welcome them. Since he loves every kind of human, I'm up for every kind of CR.

Man perfect game role for Izaya or what? Was totally thinking how perfect that was when I saw the app!

Sol generally makes contacts for business-strictly, so I have a feeling he'll be keeping Izaya on as a contact for info, if he hears about him.

Of course, he's also got plenty of "interesting" things to pick at as well :>

When a friend suggested this game, I went "who should I bring--oh duh."

I'd love to have them as business contacts! Izaya needs lots of those if he wants an information network, and he wants an information network because oh does learning lots of interesting things about Sol sound like a very fun idea.

And since Sol will spend most of his time on the front lines he can also sell him information about new bosses and such :Ua Yep, I think they'll work out quite well!

He has lots of dirt available about him from past MMO's, so I'm sure Izaya'll be able to dig some of that up :3

Oh, yay! A mutually beneficial relationship

I imagine Izaya and Eve will get along well if only because Eve is an AI-watcher and he's a people-watcher (and I'd also be up to doing horrible things to both her and Kite because I really love being mean to my characters)

Between them, they'll know everything about everything with a face. I think he'd be really interested in why Eve is so interested in AI-watching. (Watchers watching watchers...)

And yes, doing terrible things would be lovely. Hmm, for Kite, if he's going to be that friendly, I think Izaya could want to test just what that kind of persistent friendliness would endure.

She's an amateur programmer, so she's interested in their behaviour for research purposes, and also because AIs are easier for her to deal with than actual people :Ub (and all we need now is someone to watch them watching eachother watch others)

If Izaya manages to be the first to make Kite dislike someone I will be super impressed. He is like... stupidly persistent. Asking people for advice while they are actively trying to kill him persistent. There is pretty much no way this will end well wow.

ahhh tbh the way hitagi reacts to people is hard to predict sometimes because the circumstances surrounding the interaction and the direction the conversation takes could mean pointy things getting thrown around or it could end up like well i actually like talking to you so... all signs point to negative cr though but it would be so much fun to see what they'd end up talking about because she's also kind of a troll. but more in the "saying outrageous things to discomfit people" mold than "let me break you as a social experiment"

Not being able to predict people is pretty much his favourite thing which is .... a huge flaw in someone who wants to be a manipulating mastermind, but hey. I guess we all have our flaws. I would love some CR here with a different kind of troll and I want to see how outrageous their conversations could get.

OH HE WILL he wants to understand how Gig approaches PKing and he desperately wants to know what would happen if Gig somehow came to acknowledge that he really is killing people, he wants to see it all so badly

our login isn't 'the master of death' for nothing >) as soon as we get a scythe and some levels we will ~~try to~~ live up to that name...

Yes please? Maybe this is horrible of me, but that sounds like it'd be a terrific thing to inflict on Rinoa. Make her life difficult, Izaya! I'm especially interested to see just how she handles hardship without the support network she had in canon.

Ooh yes, setting up terrible things to test her would be great. You're interested in seeing the same things he'll be interested in seeing! Getting her into a mess or ten is definitely something he'd want to do.

besides the fact Izaya would most likely really scare Yuki at first I think they could have interesting CR, especially around, like, information brokering (Yuki's plan is to become a blacksmith so she can be kept in the loop re: information but not out in harms way.)

Also I can't really resist putting her in a horrible situation...

Oh, that'd be fun! I was hoping to get him some contacts of that sort so I'd be interested in developing that!!

and then you know tossing all the horrible at her because of course

Awesome! They can trade information and generally have a really odd relationship, it'll be wonderful
